SOUL SEARCH SUNDAY: Fast-forward To The Good Part
Don't you wish you could fast-forward to what you think will be the best part of your life? Wouldn't it be great to skip the hard work and skip right to the rewards? Or skip the awkward meetings and jump right into your happily ever after? We often think about rewinding life, going back, to change something we regret. But what a gift it would be to forget those regrets and fast-forward life right? Wrong. As much as I hate to admit it, it's all necessary. Time does not speed up or slow down. There's no remote control to life that fast-forwards your late night studying or multiplies the money you've been saving for that big thing you've been wanting to do. All the time it takes to get there is necessary for things to align just the way you need them to. When things are great you want them to be just right. There are things in your life that must fall apart before they fall into place. Skipping important scenes in your life would be like skipping to a great ending without knowing how you got there. You can't thoroughly enjoy a great ending until you've experienced what it took to get there. Life is an experience. Make the best of it. If you put on your best performance, your director is sure to give you his best 'RE'ward-winning work.

Soul Search Sunday: Pursuit of Happiness
I expect so much out of life. One thing I expect is to be happy. But I have realized that happiness is not a destination it is more of a state of mind. It's a state of mind to be carried with you as you take life's journey. Happiness is not where I am hoping to get but I what I want to have within me wherever I go. Attempting to look for happiness is like looking for something in the daytime with a flashlight. You don't need any material things to find it. It starts with you and it reflects on to everything you do. If you are going through life looking for happiness in other places you just might miss it. There's no better place to look than within yourself. Happiness is a state of mind and minds change. The idea is to be content with life as it is and everything else will be icing on the cake. I'm on this journey to being the best me possible. The greater I am at living, laughing, and learning the more happiness I gain and the less time I spend trying to find it.

Soul Search Sunday: Needle In a Haystack
1. Why have I not succumbed to the pressure in all this time?
2. Is this good for me?
3. Will I regret it later?
4. Why is this important to me?
5. What will I gain if I refrain from giving in?

Soul Search Sunday: It's All In Your MInd
The mind is a marvelous place, full of wonders that only you can discover. The mind can also be dangerous to those who cant utilize it to it's full potential. Is it true that we only use a small percentage of our brain in our lifetime, when the average person always assumes they are in control of their own mind. Now ask if you aren't in control, then who is?
To maintain complete control and stimulation of the mind, one must mediate often to stay spiritually sound. Diet and exercise is also important. A fit body makes a fit mind. Certain circumstances in life seem to play tricks on your mind. When an obstacle surfaces, you THINK you can't overcome it. When an opportunity surfaces, you BELIEVE you can't do it.
Famous author Napoleon Hill once said, in his book Think and Grow Rich,"I want to describe my discovery in the simplest terms possible because it will reveal to you why it is true that whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve regardless of how many times have failed in the past or how lofty your aims and hopes may be."

Don't wait on the influences of others to spark a change in you. Spark one within yourself. It starts with YOU.

Soul Search Sunday: Keep The Hope Alive
I know at times I'm not the only one who feels like life can be so hard at times. The obstacles and struggles seem overwhelming, constantly torturing us when we believe that everything is going good or at least should be. Maybe it's karma that determines fully the negative and positive reactions we may get. Maybe it's just God teaching us that not everything in life will come as easy as we think. No matter what it may be we should never stop believing ourselves and hoping for the best. Try to maintain an optimistic attitude no matter what. This may seem hard because emotions can cloud your judgment. Just try to find ways to de-stress yourself so that you may think clearly. Also try defining your plans for the future, so you will stay focused. No matter the obstacles, you can succeed. So just remember; keep hope alive!

Soul Search Sunday: Am I My Sister's Keeper?
Building lasting bonds matters a lot subconsciously. To be able to let go of all fears and completely trust someone, is a liberating feeling. Most of us have at one point in time had a best friend. She probably walked to school with you, you hung out everyday and she always had your back. Maybe she no longer is your best friend anymore. Maybe you have a new one now. In life we meet certain people who catch our eye, bring us out of our element, or help us to find our element. It may seem like a friendship wont last forever but they can. Friends are gained and lost based on the circumstances in our lives. The breaking of a friendship may not even necessarily be intentional. Some people find a friend who is like a sister or brother to them and this friendship is very important. I cant remember what verse, but in the bible it states that a friend can stick closer than a brother. What does this mean? Some people don't have great bonds with their brothers or sisters, while others have none. This means that there is a chance that you may find a non-related person that you will be extremely close with. In any relationship you have to understand each other's boundaries, so you won't cross them. You need to know almost everything about this person so that you will feel comfortable to tell them personal things about you. Most importantly you must be able to have each other's back and enjoy each other's company. To me, a best friend is a blessing. If you have a great one, don't lose her. Try your best to keep the relationship and bond strong. So I ask, are YOU YOUR Sister's Keeper?

Soul Search Sunday: Strength
It seems like when I was a child, life was portrayed to be simple and easy. The guy always got his girl and the hero always saved the world. Now that I am older where are the heroes I looked up to? I had to become my own. Life wont always work out the way you plan, things go wrong for a lot of people everyday but its how you survive. How do you survive? You survive by having the strength to overcome any obstacle that may stand in your way with perseverance.
A lot of people let fear stop them from reaching their full potential. Fear of society, even fearful of the power within them selves. Even fear itself is not a weakness. In your most fearful moment, no matter what it is, your mind is already in survival mode. It is preparing to give you insight on the solutions you need to overcome. Instead of listening to the messages their fear is transmitting, people may break down and let their emotions control their actions or thoughts.
In fear there is strength and in strength there is survival. When you realize that you can be your own hero, you feel liberated in a sense. Now you know you don't have to wait on anybody and you don't have to be scared. Find your inner strength and let it guide you and no one can dim the light of power that shines from you.
