RELATIONS WEDNESDAY: Great Expectations

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Do you see a family with kids? 2 or 3? Maybe you don't see that in ten years. Perhaps you see yourself with a thriving career and traveling. You may even see yourself having it all. I definitely have a vision for where I expect to be in 10 years. I see myself with a family, husband and children, and a fulfilling career. It doesn't mean that it will happen but I'm definietly hopeful; can't see it any other way at the moment. We hear that saying that goes,"With great expectations comes great disappointment." However, we can't help but be hopeful that our great expectations will happen just as we envisioned them. When it comes to planning for the future, we are not always the best judge of character of those who could possiby be in our life during the next ten years and thereafter. We often develop relationships with people who probably shouldn't have ten minutes of our time let alone a minimum of ten years of our life. We don't always think of the time we're wasting with people that don't and will not meet our standards and expectations for the future. Thank goodness expectations and standards can be adjusted or I'm afraid none of us would ever be truly happy. Of course those of us who don't have many expectations will have no worries because they're assumingly satisfied with their current state. That definitely sounds like an easier way of living but I'm not sure if it sounds logical. What do you think? What are your expectations for the future?

TRESSES TUESDAY: TRESSES TUESDAY on THE BQC

Hair, hair, and more hair!! TRESSES TUESDAY is all about hair on The BQC! It's the day of the BQC week that's strictly dedicated to the tresses of Brown Queens. Tresses Tuesday features tips on color, cuts, styles, hair-care, products, the occasional Queen talk about hair, and my own natural hair journey. We Brown Queens love our hair and here we can engage in never ending conversations about our hair. Whether you're relaxed, natural, or in transition, The BQC has it all.  Below are a  few pics of  two Queens that have been killing the hair game. KeKe Palmer, who recently changed her hair color from blonde to black, and Solange. Solange's luminous curls looks vibrant and full. This hair on Solange speaks volumes!!

BQC Update: FALL 2012

Season's greetings, Queens and all other BQC viewers! As founder of The Brown Queens' Constitution, I want to express my gratitude for you, especially those of you who continuously support The BQC! We appreciate everything!! Be on the look out for new features on the blog. We're going to amp things up a little bit, starting with a new team. You've probably seen D'LeAnn on a few FASHION FRENZY FRIDAYS already. We've now grown into a team of a whopping three members(yes 3) with our new addition to the BQC team, Magan. I'm elated to have her be a part of my vision. She's now the featured blogger for THOUGHTFUL THURSDAYS and SOUL SEARCH SUNDAYS. Although I haven't known Magan for a  long period of time, I was immediately taken back by her wisdom and amazingly kind spirit. I'm sure you'll enjoy her. Between Magan's gentle spirit and my sister-girl advice you're in for a treat on Thursdays and Sundays. Queens, be sure to welcome Brown Queen, Magan (to the right).  Also check out the video below to get a more detailed view of what's to come with The Brown Queens' Constitution. Tell your friends about us!  Show us some love by doing the big three.
